OROVILLE — Butte Creek Canyon residents, alarmed by a potential change in the land use designation for some property off Centerville Road, will get a chance to air their opposition to the idea.



During a Board of Supervisors' meeting Tuesday, a delegation of canyon residents came to challenge a tentative land use decision for 280 acres spread over three parcels.

Dan Breedon of the county Department of Development Services explained that during a Jan. 21st joint meeting of the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission, the supervisors moved to change the proposed land use on the property from an agricultural designation to foothill-residential.
